Minsk Savetski Borough Prosecutor’s Office Warns Head of Party of Communists of Belarus

The prosecutor of Minsk Savetski Borough Prosecutor’s Office Mikalay Platnitski gave the official warning about “inadmissibility of libeling insinuations” to the head of the central committee of the Party of Communists of Belarus Siarhey Kaliakin.

Kaliakin thinks this warning concerns the publications of Polish mass media with reference to his name that appeared four days before the election in Belarus ended:

-- I am not a prophet to predict the results of the voting in the majority of the polling stations of electoral circuit #106, but the fact remains: the numbers I drew almost completely fit with the official results. That’s why I am convinced that the results of the referendum and the election were ordained, -- stated Siarhey Kaliakin.

The first secretary of the central committee of the Party of Communists of Belarus is going to complain against the warning, because he treats this incident as one more attempt of the authorities to silence the otherwise-minded and conceal the truth about the election and the referendum.

-- The prosecutor’s office should have brought a case on suspicion in falsification of the results of the people’s vote and the opposition is ready to provide many documents for it, -- pointed Kaliakin.
