Court Officers Violate the Law again
According to RFE/RL
The grandmother of the former candidate to the Parliament Aliaksey Shein became another victim of lawless actions of court officers.
In 2001 Mr. Shein was fined 1 250 00 rubles for having laid down flowers to Minsk investigative ward in order to commemorate the members of Minsk antifascist resistance who were shot there during World War II. In July 2004 he registered at his grandmother’s house in Minsk and in August became a candidate to the Parliament. Now the court officers decided to attach the grandmother’s property in order to exact the fine. It’s very interesting how a court officer thinks. Probably, this way: “If Aliaksey has no property, let’s go to his grandmother and take something from her”. So, in the case if someone is an orphan his friends or neighbors can be made responsible for his “crimes”. What is then the difference between court officers as ordinary robbers?
Aliaksey’s grandmother recollected 1933, when she, being 3 years old, was exiled to Siberia with her parents. Before it people in plain clothes also attached property. Aliaksey Shein said to RFE/RL he would complain against the actions of the court officers.
