Ministry of Foreign Affairs Deprives Journalists of French TV of Accreditation

In the evening of 5 November members of the unregistered “Zubr” movement were hanging a transparent with the words “Lukashenka lost!” on the railway bridge not far from Miasnikow Square in order to remind people about the real results of the referendum. Representatives of the Russian bureau of the French TV channel TF1 decided to film it. When they were doing it, two policemen in plain clothes came up to them. They took the journalists to Minsk Maskowski Borough Board of Internal Affairs. There the police erased the videotape. After this incident the Ministry of Information also deprived the French journalists of accreditation and promised to explain the reasons later. However, the journalists decided not to wait for it and went away from Minsk.
