RFE/RL reports, Mikhail Marynich, ex-minister of foreign economic relations, was left in KGB jail for 30 more days “in the interests of investigation”. Prosecutor General gave permission to continue Marynich’s detention.
KGB investigators deal with the case of the ex-minister and ambassador for 6 months. Marynich is charged with illegal possession of weapon and theft. He pleads not guilty.
Mikhail Marynich has been kept in KGB jail since April 26. Last week Marynich underwent medical examination on the request of the investigation. Minsk doctors concluded his health had become worse during the time of his detention.
