A journalist of “Vitsebski kurjer” was denied in getting information.

The Chairperson of Vitsebsk-Horki district electoral commission, Sviatlana Mianzhynskaja, refused to give information to the journalist of non-governmental newspaper “Vitsebski kurjer” – Uladzimir Zhyhulow. The newspaper “Narodnaja volia” informed about that on October 9. Mianzhynskaja agreed to speak to the journalist but afterwards said that she will not answer any questions of the journalist as she “does not want to have anything in common with press”. “Until CEC makes a decision I will not say anything ", declared the chairperson of the commission.

The topic of the talk should have been the abolition of the registration of a candidate to the Parliament – Paval Seviarynec after his speech on regional radio channel. (the correspondent of the “Vitsebski kurjer” was also an empowered person of the candidate Seviarynec). Mrs. Mianzhynskaja reminded that the candidate made a complaint about the actions of the commission to the Prosecutor.
