Orsha police detained Henadz Ananyew, head of regional branch of United Civic Party and parliamentary candidate, reports RFE/RL. According to Mr. Ananyew, the reason for detention was a campaign leaflet he was holding.
Having spent two hours in police station the candidate from the police either to draw up the report explaining the reasons for his detention or to let him and a member of his initiative group go. The police officers let them both leave the police station without any explanations.
Parliamentary candidate Henadz Ananyew is going to address the district prosecutor about the matter.
