Autazavodzki District Commission # 94 Demonstrates High Degree of Proficiency

On August 11, 2004 district commission of Autazavodzki district # 94 registered the initiative group of Alaksei Yanukevich, deputy chairman of Belarusian popular Front.
Registration did not go without incidents. For instance, instead of Initiative group member certificates the commission gave out candidate’s proxies certificates.
It should be pointed out that candidate’s proxies (up to 15 people) are registered only after registration of a candidate.
The election commission explained it was a mistake. They claim they received such certificate forms from Zavodzki borough administration of Minsk.

Interestingly enough, Lidya Yarmoshyna, chair of the Central Election Commission, explained the low percentage of party members in election commissions by the fact that they have low degree of proficiency and lack experience.
Such cases display the low professional level of working body representatives and the executive “vertical”, who filled the district commissions.
