On 24 June wife and children of Valery Levanewski were summoned to Leninski borough prosecutor’s office of Hrodna as witnesses in the criminal case of public insult of president Lukashenka. The defendant in the case is Valery Levanewski, head of entrepreneurs’ strike committee, and his deputy Alexander Vasilyew.
The prosecutor’s office investigator informed the Levanewskis they had the right not to testify against their father. Levanewski’s wife Maryna, sons Zmitser and Uladzimer, and daughter Katsiaryna used this possibility and refused to give evidence.
