Today, June 8, 10 a.m. Viktar Ivashkevich, deputy chairman of the Belarusian Popular Front, joined the hunger strike, reported BPF press service.
The purpose of the hunger strike, started by three MPs is to amend the Election Code and free Mikhail Marynich. It’s already the 6th day of the hunger strike for Valery Fralow, Uladzimir Parfianovich and Siarhei Skrabets. Members of the United Civic Party Maryna Bahdanovich, Henadz Ananyew, Uladzimir Chyrvonenka, and Yury Istomin joined the hunger strike. “I urge all BPF members, pro-democratic activists, and citizens who care about their country to come to support the protesters every day at 6 p.m.”, -- says Viktar Ivashkevich.
