Davydowskaya’s Complaint Unsatisfied On 25 March the Judicial board for civic cases of Brest regional court did not satisfy Nina Davydowskaya’s complaint. Davydowskaya was fined for spreading leaflets about the Human Rights Day (December 10, 2003).
On 25 March the Judicial board for civic cases of Brest regional court composed of judges H. R. Dmitruk, N. S. Ustsimchuk, and N. S. Chebushava “heard” a cassation complaint filed by Nina Davydowskaya. The ruling of the Commission for administrative offences of Brest Maskowski borough administration issued on 19 December 2003 “unaltered”.
On 19 December 2003 Nina Davydowskaya was fined 49 000 BYR (about 25 USD) for violation of Art 172 part 3 of the Code of Administrative Offences.
Nina Davydowskaya was accused of the fact that “near the entrance to Koleratron plant, located on Suvorava, 55 she spread leaflets produced in violation of the established procedure, without publisher information, which aimed at damaging the state and public order and legal interests of citizens”. We should point out head of the Judicial board H. R. Dmitruk did not read all the case materials. Probably he wanted to conceal the fact of human rights violation in Brest from the law students who were present during the “hearing”.
