On 2 July professor Yury Khadyka, vice-Head of the BPF Party, was fined 1 basic unit (14 thousand Belarusian rubles, about 7 USD) for alleged disrespect to court.

From 16 June to 1 July Yury Khadyka was kept in the detention center in Akrestsin Street. On 16 June some persons in plain clothes without showing any document pulled Yury Khadyka out of his car and said they would take him to court. They drove him to Aksana Reliava, Judge of Minsk Savetski District Court, who informed him that she will consider the administrative materials, composed against him for “disrespect to court”. Yu.Khadyka solicited for advocatory services, so the judge postponed the trial to 2 July. However, Khadyka was taken to the detention center, because Judge Ruslan Kazadayew on 19 May, in absence of the defender, sentenced him to 15 days’ arrest for participation in the social action “People’s March for Better Life” on 12 March.
