RFE/RL reports, according to faction head Siarhei Skrabets, they plan to collect over 20 signatures of MPs. The letter will be addressed to Lukashenka.
Former rector of Homel Medical Institute Professor Yury Bandazhewski was sentenced to 8 years of imprisonment for bribe-taking. Human rights activists think his guilt had not been proved. They argue Bandazhewski was convicted because of his studies of Chernobyl disaster consequences on human health. Yury Bandazhewski have already spent 2 years behind the bars.
