RESOLUTION
of Public Hearings on the Issues of Registration, Examination of Activities and Liquidation of Non-Governmental Organizations in Belarus
We, participants of the public hearings on the issues of registration, examination of activities and liquidation of non-governmental organizations in the Republic of Belarus, having discussed on 26 May 2003 in Minsk the present state of existence and activity of non-governmental organizations in the Republic of Belarus

STATE, that the issues of mutual relations of civic initiatives and state bodies in creation, development, and activities of non-governmental organizations need serious attention and improvement.
In spite of not numerous representation of state bodies, the hearings, which took place today, witness the possibility and necessity to have regular dialog for the sake of development and promotion of public interests.
The continuing dialog and conscientious search for mutually acceptable decisions opens new possibilities to further approach of the Belarusian practice to the international standards in the sphere of the right to form associations.
The present exchange of views gives hope to look to the future with cautious optimism.
