Yawhen Afnahel, activist of the unregistered youth movement Zubr, was sentenced to 15v days of prison for participation in the Freedom Day action. On 9n April the 15-day term was over. However, the administration of the detention center did not release him. In August 2002 he was sentenced to 10 days of jail for having participated in the action, dedicated to the Belarusian Independence Day. He had spent only 3 days in prison that time because of his poor health conditions. Now Afnahel was forced to serve the last years’ term till the end.
