25 MARCH (FREEDOM DAY) WILL BE CELEBRATED BY PEOPLE’S MARCH IN MINSK
The Coalition Working Group on Celebration of the 85th anniversary of independence of the Belarusian People’s Republic applied to Minsk city administration for permission to have a march and a concert to celebrate the anniversary. The Coalition Working Group consists of leaders of Belarusian Popular Front Party, United Social Democratic Party, Belarusian Language Society, and the Assembly of the Democratic NGOs.
The march will start from Yakub Kolas Square at 5.30 p.m., and will finish in Yanka Kupala park with a rally and a concert. The slogans of the march are: “85 years of independence”, “Belarus – to European Union”, “No to Russian ruble”, etc.
Besides the street march and rally, the Working Group plans a grand meeting and a concert to celebrate the anniversary. Artists’ group “Pahonia” will open its traditional exhibition.
