Political prisoner Siarhei Ramanau was sentenced to two more years of imprisonment
On September 24, political prisoner and anarchist Siarhei Ramanau was sentenced in the Horki District Court. He was found guilty under Part 2 of Article 411 of the Criminal Code (malicious disobedience to the administration of the penal colony). Judge Natallia Fomichava sentenced him to two more years of imprisonment. Moreover, in March 2023, Ramanau was sentenced to additional 11 months of imprisonment under this article. The total term of imprisonment of the political prisoner is 22 years and 11 months.
Recall that Siarhei was detained at the end of October 2020. He, as well as Ihar Alinevich, Dzmitry Rezanovich, and Dzmitry Dubouski, was charged under a number of articles for arson of official cars, the building of the traffic police and the State Committee of Expertise in the Homieĺ region: Part 2 of Article 289 of the Criminal Code (act of terrorism); Part 2 and Part 4 of Article 295 of the Criminal Code (illegal actions with firearms, ammunition, and explosives substances). In December 2021, Siarhei was sentenced to 20 years in penal colony.

In May 2022, the political prisoner was transferred to Vaŭkavysk penal colony No. 11, where he was constantly placed in a punitive isolation cell (SHIZO) and a cell-type space (PKT). The administration of the penal colony initiated a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 411 of the Criminal Code. On March 23, 2023, Siarhei was tried in Vaŭkavysk. Judge Mikalai Talashka sentenced the political prisoner to 11 months in a penal colony.
In early July 2023, it became known that Siarhei had been transferred to Horki penal colony No. 9. There he was twice placed in PKT for a total of 10 months. Correspondence is constantly blocked.
In September 2024, the second trial for "disobedience to the administration" took place in Horki. Judge Natallia Fomichava sentenced him to two more years of imprisonment, writes ABC-Belarus. Thus, the total term for Ramanau is 22 years and 11 months of imprisonment.
Until the appeal is heard, Siarhei will be held in Mahilioŭ penal colony No. 4.
