Lukashenka Signs Law on Religious Discrimination
Today Aliaxandr Lukashenka has signed the law “About changes and additions to the law “About religious freedom and religious organizations”.
This law discriminates religious minorities, demonstrates preference for Orthodox Christian faith and creates obstacles to activity of other religious confessions. It also imposes censorship on religious literature, introduces 20-years’ cense for registration of religious denominations. According to it, it is prohibited to hold church services in private accommodations. In order to get registered, a religious denomination should have more then 20 people.
It’s worth mentioning that some time ago some representatives of the Hinduists’ religious denomination were fined for protest against the law adoption.
