New Circumstances of Zakharanka’s Case

On September 30 Miensk city court confirmed the decision of Miensk Kastrychnitski borough court concerning confessing ex-minister of Internal Affairs Iury Zakharanka dead.

Iury Zakharanka disappeared on May 7, 1999. Alieh Vouchak who represents interests of Zakharanka’s family, asked to consider the date of Zakharanka’s disappearance as the date of his death. Prosecutor Svialana Nikalaieva says that there are no proves of Zakharanka’s disappearance on May 7.

Consideration of the case about confessing Iury Zakharanka dead was suspended on September 9. It should be continued on October 1, as on this day ends the term of investigation of the disappearance by Miensk prosecutor’s office.
