On March 20, the agency stated that representatives of these initiatives attempted to harm Belarus' national security.
"The Investigative Committee now has complete information about over 100 representatives of radical diasporal groups. Over 30 real estate properties belonging to the said persons have been discovered in Belarus," according to the IC statement.
The IC initiated a criminal case under Art. 361-1 of the Criminal Code for creating and participating in an extremist formation.
The initiative "People's Embassies" ("Belarusians Abroad") was recognized as an "extremist formation" in early March.
