Political prisoner Eduard Lobau met with his mother
Eduard Lobau, who is serving the imprisonment term in the penal colony number 22 in Ivacevichy, was allowed a long-term meeting with mother.
Maryna Lobava reported of that to the charter97.org web-site.
“I have just returned today from a long-term meeting. We were together for three days. Everything is good with him, he is in good health and cheerful mood. He asked to send thanks to those, who congratulated him on his birthday, since he turned 25 on 1 December”, she said.
Maryna Lobava added that son kept studying to become an electric welder.
“Eduard takes practice and can already weld. He already has certain skills. On 18 December it will be exactly three years that he will have spent in prison, and one more will be left”, she pointed out.
We would remind that Eduard Lobau was detained in Minsk on 18 December 2010 together with Young Front’s chairman Dzmitry Dashkievich. Their detention was a preventive measure taken by special services and police on the eve of presidential elections that were to take place the following day.
On 24 March 2011 Minsk District Court sentenced Eduard Lobau to 4 years in high security prison according to part 3 of the article 339 of the Criminal Code – especially malicious hooliganism.
