06.07.2012 22 representatives of democratic forces nominated to constituency election commissions of Vitsebsk region
9 of them are members of the Belarusian Popular Front Party, 11 – of the “Fair World” and two more are Mikalai Statkevich’s adherents who were nominated by collection of electors’ signatures. As many as three people were nominated to some of the election commissions, whereas no oppositionists were nominated to some others.

Leanid Mazhalski, an protector of the public garden in the suburb of Uruccha, was detained in the morning of 5 July, during the dispersal of a protest of local dwellers against the construction of a multi-stored house for riot policemen on the garden’s place.
06.07.2012 Minsk: United Civil Party nominates ten members to election constituencies
UCP members were nominated to half of the 20 constituency election commissions of Minsk. According to the deputy head of the Minsk city UCP organization Dzmitry Kavalhin, an accent on professionalism was made during the choice of nominees – most of them have already worked in election commissions of different levels several times, or even headed them. Among them there are even professional lawyers, such as the deputy head of the UCP Antanina Kavaliova.
