Leanid Kulakou
The administrative charges against Leanid Kulakou, an activist of the European Belarus opposition movement, were considered today in the Minsk District Court. He was arrested on Friday, along with Maksim Viniarski and Siarhei Matskoits for allegedly hanging a banner in support of political prisoner Yury Rubtsou. According to Maksim Viniarski, the activists were detained by 16 riot policemen.
On June 22, Maksim Viniarski and Siarhei Matskoits were punished by 10 and 5 days of arrest, respectively, having being found guilty under Article 23.34 of the Administrative Code (violation of the order of organizing and holding mass events).
