Leanid Kulakou got detained

As learned by the Human Rights Center “Viasna”, at 9.30 p.m. on 8 May an activist of European Belarus Leanid Kulakou was detained near his home.

At present the activist is held at the Pershamaiski District Police Department. Most probably, he will be tried on Monday. Human rights defenders regard it as a preventive detention on the eve of the official celebration of the 70th anniversary of the victory over the Nazi troops.
