The members of the primary unit of the Free Trade Union of Belarus, dismissed from the plant of tractor details and aggregates in Babruisk, continue their hunger-strike.

They have been joined by another member of the FTUB, Aksana Kernazhytskaya and the librarian Sviatlana Hrytsenka, an activist of the Belarusian Christian Democracy who had to get reinstated at work through court. Henadz Labachou had to quit his hunger-strike as he was feeling unwell: the medics diagnosed him with hypertension crisis and gave him a sick leave.

“We have received summonses to the police for meeting with the lieutenant colonel Siarhei Rudzko at 2 p.m.”, said the head of the primary unit Mikhail Kavalkou. “We think we are summonsed there for being presented charges”.

At 1.00 p.m. tomorrow the hunger-strikers are to meet with the head of the Babruisk City Executive Committee, Andrei Kavalenka. The first to find about it was Aliaksandr Hramyka, who received a call to his home phone.
