Brest: MPs ignore appeals of electors

Almost a month ago, activists of the public initiative «Social Office» sent inquiries to members of the Brest City Council to find when and where they are going to report to their electors about their activities since the election.

However, only the head of the Council, Mikalai Krasouski has sent an answer. He replied that he had already reported to his electors in August in the hall of the housing office No. 7 and was going to report again in January and hold a meeting with the electors of his constituency. All other MPs haven't answered the letters so far, though almost a month has passed.

As said by the head of “Social Office” Yury Zhydovich, if they fail to answer the inquiries soon, the activists are going to appeal this violation of the Law “On Applications of Citizens” at law enforcement agencies.
