Activists from St. Petersburg were arrested in Minsk
On Saturday, October 25 in Minsk without explanation police detained social activists from St. Petersburg (Russia) - Fedarkou Andrey and Salaueu Ivan. Also with them were detained residents of our capital. They were taken to the police department of Zavadskoy district of Minsk, reports of administrative offenses were made on them. Two days before the trial they were in the police department of Zavadskoy district of Minsk.
Representatives of security servicedetained activists rudely, using special equipment. That happened at a bus stop on Partyzansky Avenue for allegedly using foul language and disobedience to police officers.
On October 27, the district court investigated administrative cases of the detainees. Judge Asipchyk condemned three activists under the Article 17.1 (disorderly conduct) and the Article 23.4 of the of Administrative Code (disobedience of a lawful order or request made by an official government body in the exercise of its official authority) and sentenced to various terms of arrest: Belarusian activist to 10 days, and the guests from Russia - for 3 days. There was lawyer Andrei Fedarkou among arrested.
Currently lawyer prepares an appeal against the judgment.
Human rights defenders think that the representatives of Russian Federation will be forcibly deported from Belarus today and will have ban on the entry for some time.
