Human rights defender Anatol Paplauny exposed lies of head of the regional court
For half a year, the Chyhunachny District Court of Homel has been denying human rights activist Anatoly Paplauny in familiarization with an administrative case concerning his rights.
His complaint to the chair of the Homel Region Court Siarhei Shautsou yielded no results – the latter accused the human rights defender of having not appealed on this issue at all. However, Mr. Paplauny has at hand the appropriate application with the mark of the court office for registration.
Bear in mind that the former toolmaker of the enterprise “Vipra” Anatol Paplauny demanded termination of employment due to violation of his labor rights. He did a great work to obtain evidence. As a result, the head of the enterprise was punished with a fine by the Homel regional department of the Department of State Inspectorate for Labour.
The Chyhunachny District Court of Homel reversed the decision of the Inspectorate for Labour on appeal of the employer. However, this verdict of the court was also reversed by another court on the prosecutor's appeal.
Accordingly, there were discovered new circumstances, which allow the former worker to initiate a review of the labour contract.
Despite the fact that back on May 22, 2014 the human rights activist registered at the office of the Chyhunachny District Court of Homel an application for studying the materials of the administrative case against his former employer, the district court still refuses to give him such an opportunity.
The Chair of the Homel Regional Court Siarhei Shautsou, to whom Mr. Paplauny applied with a complaint, accused him of having not appealed to the district court at all.
The human rights defender, who has his written appeal with a registration mark of the court office for May 22, 2014, now applies to the Chair of the Supreme Court, Valiantsin Sukala.
