Uladzimir Hundar reads from the Bible about the justice of judges

On March 21, the Baranavichy District and City Court considered the administrative case of Uladzimir Hundar, who organized a picket on March 4 in the center of Baranavichy to protest against the war between Russia and Ukraine. The case was heard by Judge Stanislau Pivavar.

Uladzimir Hundar pleaded not guilty to violating Art. 23.34 of the Administrative Code - organization and carrying out an unauthorized mass event. He noted that Article 33 of the Constitution guarantees the freedom opinion and expression. Therefore, according to the activist, on March 4, he staged a picket of solidarity with the Ukrainian people against the aggression of Russia, covering his shoulders with a blue- yellow flag of Ukraine and displaying a poster "Putin's Gangs, Out Of Ukraine, Out Of Belarus!"

In concluding his speech, the activist read from the Bible about the justice of judges, noting that judges in their decisions should be guided not only by law but also by moral values​​.

Judge Stanislau Pivavar found Uladzimir Hundar guilty of an administrative offense under Part 2 of Art. 23.34 of the CAO and sentenced him to an administrative fine of 15 basic units (1 million 950 thousand rubles).
