UCP leader Anatol Liabedzka failed to register his initiative group.

He submitted documents to register four initiative groups to the Tsentralny district's constituency, the UCP press service reports.

“I don't know how they will explain it. There were no serious violations in the documents, They were prepared by our lawyers following the sample form. I explain it with the recent incident – the illegal detention and unfair trial,” the politician said. “The name Liabedzka seems to puzzle the authorities. They even fear to register my initiative group for a local election campaign, which is not very interested for people. They fear to register the initiative group if the party has a principled position.”

Head of the United Civil Party Anatol Liabedzka, BPF party leader Aliaksei Yanukevich and head of the Fair World party Siarhei Kaliakin decided to run for seats in the Minsk city council.
