Baranavichy: civil activist Ryhor Hryk intends to hold a picket “For public control over actions of the authorities”

The civil activist Ryhor Hryk filed an application for the action to the Baranavichy District Executive Committee.

“In Baranavichy, officials violate the decrees of the President and the laws, that's why I want to express my protest against the non-implementation of these legal acts by the “people's representatives", argues the activist.

He intends to hold his picket, wihch will be attended by three people, in the old park of culture and rest in Kamsamolskaya Street (the ground near Tsaruk Street).

To his written application to the city council Mr. Hryk attached a personal undertaking of action organizer and copies of contracts with the police, the city polyclinic and the communal utilities.

In the case of the ban on the picket the activist asks the officials to explain the specific reason for which he is banned from holding the public event at a permitted location. Meanwhile, all previous applications of democratic activists for holding for pickets in 2012-2013 were turned down.
