Activist Mikalai Charnavus was summoned yesterday to Baranavichy District Prosecutor's Office to receive an official warning for organizing of unsanctioned rallies by Baranavichy entrepreneurs on June 27 at the local cooperative market and in front of the city executive committee building. The official warning also states that the civil society activist acted as organizer of a mass protest staged on July 1, 2013 in front of the building of the Ministry of Taxes and Levies.
The prosecutors thus warned Mikalai Charnavus against violating the Law "On Mass Events". In the event of further violations of the street events restrictions the activist may be subject to liability.
