Viktar Buzinayeu gets official notice about appointment of expert examination
The books that were confiscated from Mr. Buzinayeu
Babruisk leader of the United Civil
Party Viktar Buzinayeu has received an official document from Homel
customs office, in which it is stated that an expert examination of
the printed editions confiscated from his car was appointed in
accordance with Article 138 of the Customs Code of the Republic of
Belarus with the aim to determine whether they contained any
information prohibited for import to the territory of the Customs
Union.
Bear in mind that Buzinayeus were detained in their car
for several hours by the Belarusian customs officers. They found a
book of Niakliayeu's poems, brochures of the Belarusian Helsinki
Committee, the brochure "Republic of Belarus" (about human
rights violations) a brochure on social issues and the brochure "What
the European Union can give to Belarus" in the car.
