The trial against Vitebsk opposition activist Syarhei Kavalenka was postponed until Friday.
The court granted his request for a lawyer, Radio Svaboda reports.
Syarhei Kavalenka's lawyer works in Minsk and can attend the trial in Vitebsk only on Friday.
Syarhei Kavalenka was detained on the evening of March 25 for alleged crossing the road at an undesignated point. A police report was made against him in the Pershamaiski district police department for swearing and swinging his arms. Syarhei Kavalenka doesn't admit his guilt. He says police officers had been waiting outside his home for hours before he was detained.
