KGB postpones hearings on appeal of BCD activist Aleh Aksionau

The court hearing at the Mahiliou Region Court on appeal of a coordinator of the Belarusian Christian Democracy Aleh Aksionau against the State Security Committee (KGB) was postponed on the KGB request.

Mr. Aksionau was informed about it directly in court before the beginning of the hearing. The reasons for the postponement weren't told him, as well as the date of the sitting.

In his appeal Aleh Aksionau expressed disagreement with the establishment of a preventive surveillance over him by the KGB because of "activities on behalf of an unregistered organization". On 18 December 2012 the Leninski District Court of Mahiliou dismissed his appeal against the preventive surveillance.
