The artist Ales Pushkin has been detained in Minsk and taken to
Minsk's Leninski District Police Department.
RFE/RL
learned it from Ales
Pushkin. He didn't have
time to say why and where he had been detained, because the
conversation broke off. He doesn't answer calls now. An officer on
duty at the Leninski DPD police department says they don't have
him.
Ales Pushkin recently held a performance: he went to the
Supreme Court with a portrait of an anti-Soviet fighter Rastislau
Lapitski. The artist filed an appeal against the decision of the
court of Smarhon district on 10-day arrest for walking in Smarhon
with the portrait of Rastislau Lapitski in September.
