BAJ Chairperson Can Go Abroad Again
The confirming document issued by the Department on citizenship and migration informs that the computer system had suffered a system glitch in February – March this year which led to the "misunderstanding".
From the Department’s note Zhanna Litvina learnt that her foreign travel had been restricted by mistake. She has been able to leave the country since August 9. The officials made excuses for the misunderstanding.
Zhanna Litvina found out that she was denied exit from Belarus on March 15; the pretext was that she was a debtor in some bankruptcy case. So, her freedom of movement was restricted for almost half a year.
In the meantime three more BAJ members stay on the “travel banned list” – ex-political prisoner, press secretary of “European Belarus” campaign Aliaksandr Atroshchankau, chief editor of “Nasha Niva” Andrey Dynko and “Belsat” representative Mikhail Yanchuk.
