The young activists were detained for handing out printed materials.
Alena Semenchukova and her brother Syarhei were handing out leaflets calling to boycott the forthcoming “eleciton”. Policemen Razhkou and Zaitsau came up to them and ordered to show their bags. They saw the leaflets and guarded the young people to the Kastrychnitski district police department.
The detainees were recorded on video and fingerprinted at the police department, charter97.org learned. An administrative report is likely to be drawn up against Alena Semenchukova.
