Barys Zvozskau
Barys Zvozskau, a famous Belarusian human rights defender, died last night at the age of 63 after a prolonged disease.
Barys Zvozskau was a co-founder of the Legal Initiative human rights association and the first President of the Belarusian Human Rights House in exile. In 2008, he recieved the Human Rights Defender of the Year award.
The Human Rights Center "Viasna" would like to express its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Barys Zvozskau.
