Vitsebsk authorities ban pickets

Yan Dziarzhautsau, Vitsebsk activist of the Conservative Christina Party “Belarusian Popular Front”, will not be able to stage three pickets, after his applications were dismissed by the administrations of the city’s three districts.

The pickets were banned with reference to the activist’s failure to submit the papers in due time. Apart from that, the official ban says that Mr. Dziarzhautsau failed to submit the necessary contracts for medical, police and housing maintenance of the scheduled events.

Three more applications submitted by the activist will be decided upon in the near future.
