Vasily Lahnou, the father of political refugee Alyaksei Prykhodzka from Salihorsk, complains to local human rights activists he is being pressed by the KGB.

“I again had a telephone call last week. They told it was the KGB. I was asked about my son: how often he visits me and phones home,” Vasily complaint. “I am an old man, I had a long life. It's hard for me to meet such attention from these agencies.”

According to the pensioner, it was not first call from the law-enforcement agencies. Earlier, he was demanded to pay old fines for his son, Viasna human rights centre writes.

Alyaksei Prykhodzka, an activist of the United Civil Party from Salihorsk, was detained on August 3, 2004, and sentenced to 15 days in custody for taking part in an unauthorized event. He and two activists came to Minsk's October Square with a banner “10 years of dictatorship. Go away, evil man (Lukashenka) !” Alyaksei was taken to hospital during serving his term in a detention centre and managed to escape and leave the country.
