Marieluise Beck condemned the sentence against the Vitsebsk political prisoner.
It is said in her statement, reports BelaPAN, that the sentence against Kavalenka confirms that there is an aimed struggle against the dissidents in Belarus. According to the Bundestag member of the "Greens", the political prisoners go through moral and physical tortures in prisons.
Beck urges the Belarusian authorities to release and rehabilitate all political prisoners. The German MP also urges the EU to abolish visas for Belarusians as opening the society will facilitate its development.
