Vitsebsk road police have detained a number of cars heading for the trial of local pro-democratic activist Siarhei Kavalenka, who is currently standing trial on sentence evasion charges.
Vitsebsk police have reportedly stopped the car of local opposition leader Khrystafor Zhaliapau. Four Young Front activists – Uladzimir Yaromenak, Raman Vasilyeu, Mikhail Muski and Zmitser Krymianetski – were detained by riot police as they were driving to Vitsebsk. Thei current whereabouts are currently unknown.
