Orsha authorities keep violating Mass Events Code

Orsha town executive committee keeps ignoring the mass events legislation, say local activists of the Fair World United Leftist Party, whose applications to hold four pickets on 18 February were ignored by the authorities.

Under the Mass Events Code, the applications should have been replied to five days before the expected date of the events. However, as of 15 February, i.e. three days before the events, their applicant Mikalai Dziamidau had not received any reply.

Similar violations by the authorities were reported last month, when a reply to an application was delayed.
