Ivan Shyla, one of the leaders of the “Young Front”,
who was detained by riot police before “I Love Belarus” award giving ceremony, is
in a detention center in Akrestsin
Street now.
As parents of the opposition member were told, Ivan would remain there for the
nearest three weeks, RFE/RL reports.
Anastasiya Palazhanka says Ivan Shyla has to remain in custody 22 days
for last year's action of support of Zmitser Dashkevich near the penal colony in Horki and taking part in
summer protest actions in Salihorsk.
The administration of the detention center said Ivan Shyla had already been
tried for unauthorized actions, so no new trials would take place and the
activist would spend the next 22 days behind bars.
