Andrei Sannikau is in Mahilyou prison #4
His lawyer Maria Kavaleuskaya has found him there. However, she has not been allowed to meet the ex-candidate.
She has been refused the meeting because Sannikau is “a transit
prisoner”. The lawyer is writing a complaint to the prosecutor now.
The
lawyer was not even allowed to enter the Penalty Department – her
complaint was accepted by the head of the Department refused to meet
her.
Let us remind you that the political prisoner was transported
away from Babruisk colony and his whereabouts were unknown. The Penalty
Department has not provided the lawyer with any information and advised
her to look for him herself.
Mahilyou prison is considered to be a
transit prison. A detention centre for transported prisoners is
situated there. They are brought there and spend some time in the centre
before transportation.
