Activists of the Young Front youth opposition movement Nasta Palazhanka and Uladzimer Yaromenak have been detained by Minsk police this morning, the Young Front’s press-service reports.
The activists were expected to hang out several white-red-white flags in downtown Minsk to mark the 20th anniversary of the flag’s proclamation as the national symbol of Belarus back in 1991.
As a result, they were taken to Minsk Tsentralny police department and are currently awaiting official charges.
