6 more political prisoners lose appeals in Minsk City Court

Minsk City Court panel of judges headed by Uladzimir Stsyapurka has taken the decision today, on July 22.
Uladzimir Loban, Andrei Fedarkevich, Dzmitry Daronin, Syarhei Kazakou, Yauhen Sakret and Vital Matsukevich’s appeals have not been satisfied, informs BelaPAN.
Minsk Moscow District Court returned them guilty according to
art.293, p.2 of the Criminal Code (mass riots). Loban was sentenced to
three years of imprisonment, Fedarkevich – to 3.5, Sakret – to 3,
Kazakou – to 3, Daronin – to 3 and a half years of imprisonment in a
conventional prison and Matsukevich – to three years in a top security
prison.
According to the convicts’ lawyers, the decision whether to lodge complaints to the Supreme Court or not will be taken later.
