Court returns cassation appeal to political prisoner Rymasheuski
The Frunzenski District Court of Minsk
returned the cassation appeal to a former presidential candidate, co-Chair of
the organizing committee of the Belarusian Christian Democracy Vital
Rymasheuski.
The court stated that the cassation appeal lacked arguments about the
unfairness of the sentence that had been given to him for participation in the
peaceful protest action in central Minsk
on 19 December 2010 (for which he had been sentenced to personal restraint).
The court gave Mr. Rymasheuski just one day to correct the appeal. Vital
Rymasheuski, in his turn, stated that he had no hope for a fair trial, and his
expectations are confirmed by this answer. He filed the appeal just to show his
attitude to the penalty and once again state his innocence.
