According to http://harodniaspring.org, 36 people who have been already punished for blocking
the road at the border crossing point Bruzgi
in order to protest against the fuel export restrictions are called to
court again. The trial will take place on 20 July.
The matter is that the Brest
regional procuracy and the customs office demanded that the protesters
compensated the alleged loss incurred as a result of their action, i.e. paid
for the services of the riot police who had beaten them.
The people, in their turn, say they didn’t call the police there and the
payment should be done by those who did.
