Homel: participant of silent protests sentenced to 30 days of arrest
The court considered the
youngster guilty of bad swearing and sentenced him to 15 days of detention on 4
July. Ustsimenka was detained on 2 July, before another silent action of protest.
Policemen claimed they had received a complaint from an unknown person.
Ustsimenka was taken to court from the detention center on 7 July, reports BelaPAN. The court considered the
administrative case concerning the 29 June silent action. Previously, the trial
had been postponed as they wanted to summon witnesses. This time, the trial was
closed: even Ruslan's mother was not admitted. Ustsimenka was found guilty of
using obscene language in public and was sentenced to 15 days of arrest. Thus,
the youngster will spend 30 days in the detention center altogether.
